Golden Arrow Trails is designed as an introduction to backpacking. Basic backpacking skills will be taught.

Directions to Alligator Creek Ranch in Hearne: Take US-290 toward Austin. Near Hempstead, exit from 290 onto Hwy 6 and travel north toward College Station. Stay on Hwy 6 past Navasota and past College Station until you get to Hearne. In Hearne, turn left onto US-79 (which is also US-190) and travel toward Gause and Milano. After passing Gause, travel 3.2 miles. Sign for Alligator Creek is on the right, but turn LEFT onto CR-348. Cross the railroad tracks and then take the first right onto Fisher Road and follow signs to campsite. |
