The District Service award was presented to these units at the District Dinner in February 2009.

The GAD Honor Unit Award was created in 2003 to recognize those GAD Packs, Troop, Teams, Crews, and Ships that conduct quality Scouting program in a manner that supports the District's efforts (a) to earn the National Quality District Award and (b) to meet the goals set by the Council in the areas of membership, finance and program.  A unit qualifying as a GAD Honor Unit is recognized by a limited-edition temporary patch for each of the unit's officially registered members (both youth and adults) as of December 31 of the year for which the award is earned.  Patches are usually expected to be available at the District Dinner.
