University of Scouting is the most comprehensive supplemental training event offered by the Sam Houston Area Council. The program has been designed for all new and experienced leaders to strengthen and enhance their knowledge of the Scouting program. There are courses for all types of scout leaders - Cub Scout Leaders, Boy Scout Leaders, Venturing Leaders, Commissioners, and others.
Training sessions for Den Chiefs, Chaplain Aides and Troop Guides are also available. The fee for these courses is $17.00 for those registering on or before February 5, 2010. After February 5, the price will be $25.00. That fee for the Den Chief, Chaplain Aides, and Troop Guides includes the BBQ lunch (there is an extra fee for lunch for the adult classes).
